Weekend Getaway to Germany!

After a wonderful breakfast at Steve and Jen's, we set out for a quick family trip to Bavaria.

So, we actually went to Leavenworth, a small town set in the Cascade Range that boasts only Bavarian themed buildings. Even McDonald's looks like it should be set in Garmisch.
---sorry, no good pictures of the town. this shot with the lighted buildings in the background is all we have---

We stayed at the Autumn Pond B&B where we were treated to the most marvelous breakfasts.

Unfortunately, Trevor caught a cold....look at those eyes:(.... so he took it easy, while Cecilia played near the wood stove and on the staircase!

Cecilia spied a new obstacle and took off across the room to commence her first ascent.

Fresh mountain air- one thing we are thankful for:)
We hope you all had a Happy Thanksgiving.
We are thankful for each one of you reading this.
Much love from TnT and Little C.

Thanksgiving with the Michaels

Thanks Steve and Jen for cooking up such a tasty bird (and for inviting us into your home for a cozy night stay).

Unsolicited support from Trevor makes carving turkeys more fun.

Bella does not look very happy to be sharing the saddle with a small babe.
Cecilia, on the other hand, is delighted!

Cameron chills in the Exer-saucer, and Bella is finally free to take a wild ride on her horse without Cecilia on board slowing her down.

Mobility Means....

....sometimes getting stuck.

Two Dollar Tuesday

Rain or shine, we were not going to miss out on this discount day at the zoo.

Cecilia spent most of the afternoon waving at animals and other kids.

Hello kitties

I want one of those!

We learned early on that snapping a quality picture of Cecilia's face and animal life was fairly impossible for us novices.

She must be waving to a cute cuddly creature here,

or maybe not.

The bald eagle stoically perched above the 2 jesters ;)

Cecilia -vs- Red tailed hawk

One day we will get a clear family shot.

Old Stuff

Cecilia is sitting on a chair that her Great Grandmother Phyllis used when she was a wee one. She is pulled up to a table that came from her Great Grandmother Mary.

Cecilia's Grandma Pixie once sat in this high chair and ate peas and yams.....and hey, that bib is from her cousins in Alaska.
We sure love recycled goods around here!

BFF

Best Furry Friend- Mira

Mira is exploring her feelings for Cecilia.
She realizes that this pretty gentle and warm body could be a great asset in the coming winter months. Mira likes cuddling and this baby sleeps a lot!

However, that warm body is relentless when awake, and she is crawling faster each day.
Thankfully Mira tolerates Cecilia's adoration, because NOTHING makes C happier than her four legged furry friend!

Apple Season

Andrea and Tenneal chopping apples.

Cecilia and Scout hanging out on their mama's back.

Josh and Andy man the cider press while Dex motivates from the sideline.

Happy Halloween?

When we first planted the little flower in the pot, she was seemingly displeased with her parents' choice of Halloween costumes.

However, after a good feeding (baby bribery) and some special time paging through her favorite books, Cecilia was ready to be strolled down the block.

After the stroll, Cecilia was uprooted so she could crawl around with her favorite peeps.

Quite possibly just as much mayhem at this small family-friendly gathering as there used to be at our larger SLC parties.

Amber entertains Cecilia, Greta and Dexter as Trevor closes the door after handing out treats to the neighborhood ghouls.

Pumpkin Guts

"I am ready to help. What do we do first?"

"I ain't going in there."

"Thanks Mom! Oh, this looks like food, no doubt."

Cecilia, no longer interested in helping with the pumpkin, spends the next 10 minutes trying to pick up slimy seeds.

Thankfully, only a few made it into her mouth,
so her mama didn't have to fish too many out.
