The last portion of our trip took place in the Northern Cascades National Park.
Gorgeous views, great weather, and plenty of family time.
The first campsite we happened upon.
This campsite was not only cheap, but it came with a super fun backyard.
These pictures document the beginning of Cecilia's obsession with rocks.
Cecilia, noticing how hot and sweaty her parents are, is very thankful to be hanging out in the pack rather than trekking up the steep path.
One of many views from atop Maple Pass.
Cecilia and
Tenneal stand amongst the Heather.
A rare family shot.
This glacial lake easily lured us to spend the night along its banks.
By the time we got to the last campground Cecilia had figured out the system.
She is very happy that we bought the big bag of apricot's from Renae's farm. How sweet to still have one left after three days on the road!
Trevor and C trekking along the scree.
Celebration smiles
An unexpected marmot appearance.
Cecilia is ready to do some climbing by herself.
Success.....
Now, where did that marmot go?
I am ready to roll.
The snow patches are the best part of hiking in the mountains.
Only 7.4 miles? That was easy-
peasy.
Let's do it again!
